RISHIKESH - A tragic accident killed two persons, including former Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) leader Trivendra Singh Panwar, on Sunday night near Indramani Badoni Chowk on Dehradun Road. The overspeeding truck, which had a load of cement, lost control and ran into several parked vehicles and pedestrians standing outside a wedding venue.

UKD Leader Trivendra Singh Panwar Succumbs to Injuries

The crash killed a Shergarh Doiwala resident on the spot. Trivendra Singh Panwar, who was grievously injured in the accident, was airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh and pronounced dead by doctors. Two other persons, who were injured in the incident, are still in critical condition at AIIMS.

Rishikesh Deputy Superintendent of Police Sandeep Negi also reached the spot and later called upon AIIMS. "The tragedy has taken the life of UKD leader Trivendra Singh Panwar and resident of Shergarh Doiwala," he said, confirming the casualties.
