RK Tiwari, President of Pensioners Forum, Passes Away; Body to be Donated

RK Tiwari, the President of the Pensioners Forum, passed away on Friday evening. He was a retired employee of IIT Kanpur and also led the IIT Kanpur Pensioners Association. Known for his advocacy for mill workers' rights, he contributed significantly to the legal battle that declared a mill strike illegal. As per his wishes, his body will be donated to the Medical College.
 

Kanpur: RK Tiwari, the President of the Pensioners Forum, passed away on Friday evening. He was a retired employee of IIT Kanpur and had also served as the President of the IIT Kanpur Pensioners Association. After his retirement, Tiwari remained active in fighting for the rights of mill workers. Notably, he played a crucial role in getting a court to declare the mill strike illegal.

This information was shared by Anand Awasthi, the General Secretary of the Forum. Tiwari had previously announced his decision to donate his body after his death. As per his wishes, his family will donate his body to the Medical College on Saturday.

Tiwari was known for his unwavering commitment to the cause of workers' rights, and his death has left a significant impact on the community. His contributions to the rights of mill workers and his leadership in the Pensioners Forum will always be remembered.
