Rohtak: PGIMS Expels Resident Doctor Amid Kidnapping and Assault Allegations

In the wake of ongoing protests related to the rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata Medical College, a significant incident has occurred at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak.
 

In the wake of ongoing protests related to the rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata Medical College, a significant incident has occurred at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak. A resident doctor pursuing an MD in anatomy has been expelled from the institution following accusations of kidnapping and assaulting a fellow medical student.

The incident came to light on August 17 when a first-year BDS student, accompanied by her parents, filed a complaint against Maninder Kaushik, an MD anatomy resident at PGIMS. The student accused Kaushik of physically assaulting her.

A spokesperson for the University of Health Sciences in Rohtak confirmed the expulsion of the accused doctor and stated that he has been permanently barred from entering the campus.

 

The expulsion and arrest have sent shockwaves through the PGIMS community, as the institution deals with the repercussions of this serious incident. The authorities have assured that strict action will be taken as per the law, and the safety and well-being of all students remain a top priority.
