Sabarkantha Shocker: Couple Stranded on Car Roof in Floodwaters, Dramatic Rescue Caught on Video

A couple in Sabarkantha, Gujarat, narrowly escaped disaster after their car became trapped in the middle of a flooded river due to heavy rains. The incident occurred when the water level rose rapidly, stranding the couple on the roof of their car as the river's strong currents surrounded them.

The couple had been driving through Vadiyavir Bhootiya in Idar taluka when they were caught off guard by the swift waters while crossing a river. As the water surged, their car quickly became submerged, forcing them to climb onto the roof to avoid being swept away. A video of the incident, now viral on social media, shows the couple perched on top of their car, speaking to each other as they awaited rescue.

 

Due to the dangerous river conditions, the rescuers had to wait for the water to recede slightly before approaching the car. Once it was safe to do so, they successfully brought the couple to safety. Despite the harrowing experience, neither of the individuals was injured.

The incident highlights the dangers posed by sudden floods during monsoon season and serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of natural disasters.
