St. Mary’s Convent Hosts MUN 2025 to Empower Future Global Leaders
St. Mary’s Convent High School organized a two days Model United Nations conference (MUN) on 9th and 10th of July,2025 in collaboration with Justice Peace Integrity of Creation (JPIC) group.
The conference began with a solemn invocation, seeking blessings for the success of the event. MUN Coordinator extended a warm welcome to all participants, emphasizing the significance of MUN in shaping informed, confident, and responsible global citizens.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Priya Saxena, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Lucknow, who delivered an inspiring address. She encouraged students to think critically, speak boldly, and collaborate respectfully. Mrs. Saxena underlined the pivotal role of youth in fostering peace, justice, and sustainable development worldwide.
Following the keynote address, the MUN Conference was officially declared open by the school’s Manager, Sr. Marion, marking the beginning of the committee sessions and diplomatic simulations.
Over the course of two days, student delegates assumed the roles of diplomats, representing different nations and engaging in thoughtful deliberations on pressing global issues. The conference aimed to enhance students’ skills in research, negotiation, public speaking, and leadership.
The event culminated with a grand closing ceremony that celebrated the spirit of diplomacy and international cooperation. Delegates who displayed exceptional performance were honored with awards including “Best Delegate,” “High Commendation,” “Special Mention,” and “Best School Delegation” across various committees.
Cultural performances by students added a vibrant and celebratory touch to the formal proceedings, reflecting the diverse talents of the student body.
The closing message by the Secretary General and Director General conveyed heartfelt gratitude and a powerful message of hope. They urged participants to carry forward the values of peace, understanding, and global collaboration beyond the conference.
The two-day MUN conference at St. Mary’s Convent High School was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and setting a benchmark for future academic events focused on global engagement and youth empowerment.
