Uttar Pradesh’s Shrawasti Road Accident: Car Falls into Ditch, Five Killed and Six Injured

Uttar Pradesh’s Shrawasti Road Accident: A fatal road accident occurred in Shrawasti, Uttar Pradesh, after a tempo and an SUV collided on National Highway 730 near Ikona. The crash, which took place on Saturday, claimed the lives of five people and left six others seriously injured. Reports say the impact of this collision was so forceful that the SUV fell into a ditch after hitting the tempo. Three people died instantly, while two others succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.

On receiving the distress call, the police reached the site and launched rescue operations. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem. The tempo, on being hit by the SUV, also fell into a pit, and both the vehicles were severely damaged. This accident resulted in a traffic jam on the highway, which was laboriously cleared by the police.

The accident took place close to Mohanipur village. The tempo collided with the SUV. It has been reported that the SUV driver lost control after the accident. Locals, after the accident, reached the spot and informed the concerned authorities. Inspector Ashwani Kumar Dubey with the police team coordinated rescue operations. Four ambulances were called to the spot to take the injured to CHC Ikona who were later referred to other hospitals for further treatment.
