India’s Vande Bharat Express expands with four new routes from Pune to key cities, enhancing travel convenience with its high-speed and luxurious service.

Pune, India — There is good news for all those who want to travel as the country's flagship semi-high-speed, luxury train service Vande Bharat Express will soon extend its reach across four new routes originating from Pune. It will connect Pune with Vadodara, Shegaon, Belgaum, and Secunderabad, giving passengers more faster and comfortable travel options.

This expansion of Vande Bharat routes will link Maharashtra to Gujarat and Karnataka, hence building travel connections across the country. New routes are as follows:

Pune to Vadodara
Pune to Shegaon
Pune to Belgaum
Pune to Secunderabad

It has already started on the most popular routes such as Pune-Kolhapur and Mumbai-Pune. For instance, the journey by this express between Pune and Hubli takes merely 8 hours and 30 minutes while it would take 12-13 hours in regular trains in general.

The train service with commodious seating, sophisticated air-conditioning, and new safety features has now topped the list of travelers desiring a premium traveling experience. As per media reports, the fares will be competitive on both AC Chair Car and the Executive AC Chair Car that come with added comfort.

Currently, the Pune-Kolhapur route is operated thrice a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The AC Chair Car costs around ₹560, and the Executive AC Chair Car costs around ₹1,135. This is why it has become one of the favorite routes for people who look for both comfort and affordability.

No announcements have been made officially regarding these new routes, but Vande Bharat Express trains are likely to start new connections in the near future. The Indian government targets 100 Vande Bharat Express trains before India completes its hundred years of independence in 2047, further promoting connectivity across the country.
