The accident took place on Moradabad Road in Sambhal. Sukhbir was driving his bike when a Bolero hit him from behind and he fell off, getting seriously hurt. His bike got stuck beneath the car. The driver traveled for 2 kilometers before stopping. Sukhbir was declared dead at hospital despite efforts by locals who tried to help him.
