Viral Video: Muslim Woman Converts to Hinduism After Abuse, Seeks Respect for Her and Her Children

A viral video is capturing widespread attention as it shows a Muslim woman, disillusioned by the abuse and lack of respect from her husband, converting to Hinduism with her two children. According to reports, Mehnaz was subjected to daily physical abuse and disrespect from her husband and his family. After enduring years of mistreatment, she decided to convert to Hinduism, motivated by the respect and dignity she observed being afforded to women in the Hindu community.

The conversion ceremony took place on September 4 at a local temple, where Mehnaz, along with her sons Mohammad Faizan Sheikh and Farhan Sheikh, formally adopted Hinduism. Following the conversion, Mehnaz changed her name to Meenakshi, and her sons' names were changed to Lav and Kush.
