Ambani's pet dog Happy travels in style in a Rs 3 crore Mercedes-Benz G400d

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's extravagant wedding has captured the internet's attention since early this year. The celebrations saw numerous celebrities and prominent business figures in attendance. One standout aspect of the event was the impressive array of cars used by the Ambani family. Among these were heavily decorated Rolls Royces and the S680 Maybach. However, what's even more intriguing is that the Ambani's pet dog, "Happy," a golden retriever, travels in style as well, using a Mercedes-Benz G400d luxury SUV.

Recently, images of the G400d SUV appeared online, shared by Automobili Ardent India on Instagram. The Ambani family is known for their fleet of G63 AMG SUVs, which are part of their security convoy. While they own several G63 AMG models, the G400d stands out as a unique addition to their collection. Unlike the others, this model is a diesel SUV and serves a specific purpose.

Happy, Anant Ambani's golden retriever is often seen in videos, and the G400d is his designated vehicle. Before upgrading to the G400d, Happy used to travel in a Toyota Fortuner and a Toyota Vellfire. Both these vehicles are quite expensive, with the Fortuner priced at around Rs 50 lakh and the Vellfire around Rs 1.5 crore. The G400d, however, costs approximately Rs 2.55 crore ex-showroom.

The comment section on the Instagram post about the G400d SUV was lively, with one user humorously noting, "400d-D for Dog," and another commenting, "Dude just said we’re poor in 400 ways!!"

About the G 400d

The G400d is the successor to the G 350d that was previously available in the market and launched earlier this year. It is powered by a 3.0-litre OM656, in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 330 PS and 700 Nm of peak torque. The SUV features a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Available in two variants, the G400d comes as an Adventure Edition with rugged body elements and an AMG Line variant. It appears that the Ambani family opted for the AMG Line variant.

As expected from a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the G400d boasts several premium features, including a sliding sunroof, a Burmester sound system, 64-color ambient lighting, automatic climate control, and leather upholstery, among others.
