Greater Noida West Societies Ban Potted Plants in Balconies for Safety Concerns!

This decision follows several incidents in Gautam Buddh Nagar where potted plants fell from balconies, posing risks to the public.

In a recent development from Greater Noida West, residents of Gaur Saundaryam and Gaur City 1’s First Avenue Society have been informed that they will no longer be allowed to place potted plants in their balconies. The Apartment Owners Association (AOA) has issued a notice mandating the removal of potted plants from balconies, citing safety concerns. This decision follows several incidents in Gautam Buddh Nagar where potted plants fell from balconies, posing risks to the public.

Campaign for Removing Balcony Plants

The societies have launched a campaign to remove potted plants from balconies in high-rise buildings to prevent accidents. AOA officials from Gaur Saundaryam confirmed that over 50 residents have already received notices, urging them to remove the plants for safety reasons. The AOA has been actively sending reminders and making house-to-house requests for compliance. This measure is intended to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors to the societies.

Notices Sent to Residents

Amod, the president of First Avenue in Gaur City 1, mentioned that continuous notices are being sent to residents, asking them to remove the plants from their balconies. According to Amod, residents have begun complying with the directive. Both societies have expressed their support for the initiative, with many residents acknowledging the importance of the AOA’s decision.

The removal of potted plants from balconies is being viewed as a preventive step to avoid potential accidents and enhance safety in these high-rise societies. Residents of Gaur Saundaryam and Gaur City 1 are largely backing the AOA’s efforts to maintain a secure environment within the premises.
