NCB drug raid Noida, The NCB busted a meth lab run by a Mexican drug cartel in the Kasna Industrial Area of Noida. The police arrested five, including a warden of Tihar Jail. The recovery has been as high as 95 kilograms of meth.

During its biggest operation ever, a methamphetamine lab was just busted in the Kasna Industrial Area in Noida by the Narcotics Control Bureau. This lab was found linked to one of Mexico's most wanted groups called "Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion," which is also referred to as CJNG. Within three days of raid on October 25, five people were caught: including a warden from Tihar Jail and two businessmen from Delhi. Along with bringing in chemical processing machines, the officers have also taken dangerous chemicals that were used when drugs were being prepared.

In NCB Drug Raid Noida, Secret Lab Linked to Mexican Cartel

So far, a preliminary probe has revealed that the main people involved in setting up the lab, and sourcing chemicals, have been the Tihar Jail warden and one of the businessmen from Delhi. The whole operation was highly organized - it brought a chemist from Mumbai to produce it, while quality checking was done by a member of the CJNG cartel who stayed in Delhi. All dangerous chemicals, including acetone, sodium hydroxide, methylene chloride, ethanol, toluene, red phosphorus, and ethyl acetate could be recovered plus imported machines for the production process. The NCB is working actively to trace the financial flows related to drug trafficking and find more connections in the network of the cartel in the NCR. The businessman arrested had a previous record under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and thus investigations show that he initially connected through his prior case with the warden of Tihar Jail and then framed an alliance for the establishment of the lab.
The NCB has had a great year so far, having busted five drug labs across the country.

Some of the earlier operations involved a major raid in Bhopal, conducted jointly with Gujarat's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), which led to the seizure of nearly 907 kilograms of mephedrone and 7,000 kilograms of chemicals. The NCB has recently started cracking on the industrial-based drug laboratories as it indicates that such drug cartels are desperate enough to seek out their business opportunities in such fields that provide them with less costly production and transport supply nearby.
