Noida: Man arrested for stabbing wife at Sector 18 market - Reason will shock you

A shocking case has emerged from Noida. A 26-year-old woman was reportedly stabbed by her husband on Sunday evening when she went to a restaurant in Sector 18. The police said the accused, Usman, was arrested on Monday after Tabassum lodged a complaint. The authorities said that the couple had been living apart in Sector 44, Noida, due to marital disputes that had prompted Tabassum to dial the emergency helpline earlier.

What provoked the stabbing?

The reported incident took place when Tabassum had come to the city. She had met Usman at a restaurant in Sector 18. During that meeting, she said she wanted to terminate the marriage. An infuriated Usman snapped. In a fit of rage, he snatched a knife from a nearby stall and attacked her. Tabassum stated that though she tried to guard herself, he stabbed her abdomen several times. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment after the people passing by informed the police.

Additional DCP (Noida) Manish Kumar Mishra told the media that a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 118 (1) had been registered at Sector 20 police station. Usman was taken into custody on Monday.

In another case, reported from Noida on Sunday, a 30-year-old woman in Sector 49 was stabbed by her neighbor after a financial dispute. The police registered a case for attempted murder and the accused was arrested soon after.
