Greater Noida Man Cultivates Ganja in Flat, Sells on Dark Web, Arrested

Rahul Chaudhary was accused of cultivating cannabis inside the planters in his flat on the 10th floor and selling them on the dark web before he was arrested.
 
 

Rahul Chaudhary, a Greater Noida resident, was arrested for cultivating cannabis in his apartment and selling it on the dark web. An English graduate, Chaudhary set up a sophisticated aeroponic system to grow cannabis in planters without soil. Police seized over 80 cannabis plants and 2.070 kg of cannabis, including 163.4 grams of premium 'OG' cannabis. Chaudhary had been cultivating the plants for about six months, inspired by crime dramas. He purchased cannabis seeds from international websites. The arrest was made by local police and the Anti-Narcotics Team in Greater Noida’s Beta-2 area.

Greater Noida Man Arrested for Growing ganga 

Police in Uttar Pradesh have arrested Rahul Chaudhary from Greater Noida, who allegedly cultivated cannabis inside his apartment and sold it on the dark web. Rahul Chaudhary, who is an English graduate, was growing the contraband inside his flat in the 10th-floor Parsvnath Panorama, Greater Noida. According to the police, the accused had a powerful cultivation system with superior aeroponic techniques in which he was growing cannabis in planters. He could be able to grow his plants under controlled conditions without soil.

According to police, they found over 80 plants of cannabis and approximately 2.070 kilograms of cannabis. Among these, 163.4 grams of premium 'OG' cannabis was recovered from the apartment. The cultivation process reportedly took about six months. According to police officials, Chaudhary got the idea of growing an illegal crop after watching web series and crime dramas.

Chaudhary had even bought cannabis seeds from international websites to keep his illegal trade going. He was arrested by the local police officials and the district's Anti-Narcotics Team at the P-3 roundabout in Beta-2 area of Greater Noida.

Once again, the arrest brought to light the issue that has been prevalent in cities of illicit cultivation of cannabis. As the authorities are putting more emphasis on breaking down underground networks of drug trafficking, the police are making efforts to put a ban on these easy-to-access cannabis products sold on the dark web. This is primarily because these things cause an ever-increasing threat to public safety and welfare. The arrest of Chaudhary marked another important step towards the fight against drug-related crimes in India.
