Update on Noida School Closures: Classes Online Amid Worsening Air Quality

Amid worsening air quality in Noida (AQI 349) and Greater Noida (AQI 270), schools will remain shut, and online classes will continue. Authorities have issued health advisories, recommending masks, air purifiers, and avoiding early morning outdoor activities to minimize exposure to pollution.

 

Update on Noida School Closures: All schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar - this includes Noida and Greater Noida - will remain shut until November 26. All classes, from preschool to Grade 12, will be held online as the situation worsens with the latest orders issued on Monday.

The air quality index reached alarming levels, while Noida reported an AQI of 349 and Greater Noida at 270. Local officials had strictly advised the people to take precautions, especially vulnerable groups like the elderly and patients with respiratory diseases. Health guidelines include avoiding early morning outdoor activities, wearing masks, using air purifiers, and consulting doctors if breathing difficulties occur.

Weather department predicts partial cloudiness November 26 to 30 with maximum temperatures around 27°C and minimum temperatures dropping as low as 10°C. Mild fog is expected to form in early morning hours and cold winds at the time of night and evening. Residents must be vigilant and check the air quality updates.
