Video: Massive Fire Breaks Out in Noida PG, Chaos and Panic Among Residents
A devastating fire occurred today in Sector 62, Noida, at a paying guest (PG) house located in the B Block residential area. The blaze erupted suddenly, rapidly engulfing the entire building and extending to a neighboring house. Both buildings, which house paying guests, experienced panic and chaos as the fire spread.
Reports indicate that the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electrical panel. The incident began on the ground floor of the PG house in Rasoolpur Nawada village, where the short circuit quickly ignited the flames. The fire spread swiftly, consuming curtains and reaching the rooms and windows of the building, resulting in the destruction of children's belongings.
Firefighters, including five fire brigade trucks, worked for approximately 30 minutes to control the blaze. Due to the narrow alley, access was challenging, and water was delivered through pipes to extinguish the flames. Both buildings were evacuated, and residents were safely descended via stairs and sent for medical evaluation.
CFO Pradeep Choubey of the fire brigade reported that the fire originated from the electric panel of an advertisement hoarding outside the PG house. The narrow street made it difficult for fire trucks to reach the site, but their quick intervention prevented the fire from reaching the fourth floor. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of commercial activities in residential areas.
