Isha Gramotsavam Expands to 10 States, 40,000 Villages in India

Isha Gramotsavam 2026 will bring together over 80,000 players from 40,000 villages across 10 states and one Union Territory, with participants competing for a prize pool of more than Rs 1 crore.

 

New Delhi: Isha Gramotsavam 2026 is set to bring together rural communities on a larger scale, with villages from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh joining the initiative. The rural sporting event now spans 10 states and one Union Territory, reflecting its growing reach across India.

According to the organisers, more than 80,000 players from over 40,000 villages will participate in the tournament. Competitors will battle for a total prize pool of more than Rs 1 crore across various sporting events.

Isha Gramotsavam aims to promote sports in rural India by encouraging community participation and providing a platform for local talent. The event seeks to strengthen the spirit of teamwork, healthy competition and grassroots sports while bringing together thousands of participants from villages across the country.
