India has secured its sixth gold medal at the Paris Paralympics, thanks to Praveen Kumar's remarkable performance in the men's high jump T64 event. The achievement came on the ninth day of the Games.

Praveen Kumar cleared a height of 2.08 meters to win the gold medal, marking India's 26th medal and its sixth gold at the Paralympics. This victory also represents the 11th medal India has won in high jump events at the Paralympics. With this accomplishment, Kumar joins Mariyappan Thangavelu as the second Indian athlete to win a gold medal in high jump at the Paralympics.
