In a unique strategy to mock a wanted criminal, Bharatpur Police announced a 25-paise reward for the capture of Khoobiram Jat. Police clarified the intent was to shame the criminal rather than incentivize his arrest.

25 Paise Bounty: In a bizarre development that has captured the imagination of social media users, the Bharatpur Police in Rajasthan announced a reward of a mere 25 paise against a dreaded criminal, Khoobiram Jat. The declaration, which was shared on the police's official social media handle on November 15, gained tractions because of the ridiculous reward amount. Khoobiram, who is wanted for several serious offenses, became an online laughing stock as users flooded the post with witty remarks.

The police later clarified that the very low cash award was meant more as a ploy to embarrass the fugitive than anything else, instead of encouraging people with it. The tactic has been most widely found to be comedic gold, with one user joking if he would issue the award in cash or check, and another saying Khoobiram would surrender from shame.
