Delhi Businessman's Murder in Shahdara: Shot Dead During Morning Walk
In a chilling incident in Shahdara, Delhi, a 52-year-old businessman, Sunil Jain, was shot dead by bike-borne assailants while returning home from his morning walk. The murder occurred early this morning in Vishwas Nagar, where the assailants, after stopping Jain on his scooter, fired seven rounds at him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Jain was declared dead.
According to the police, the assailants fired multiple rounds, hitting the victim several times. The firing caused severe injuries, and Jain was found lying on the road, where he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities recovered spent cartridges from the scene, confirming the violent nature of the attack.
The police are currently investigating the case, focusing on possible motives, including any personal disputes. Jain’s family has been questioned, and police are also reviewing his mobile phone records to trace recent communications that might help identify suspects. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is also being analyzed to track down the assailants.
The incident has caused panic in the area, with local residents expressing concern over rising violence. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized the BJP government, suggesting that the law and order situation in the capital has deteriorated.
