In a bizarre incident in Bihar’s Gaya district, a one-year-old child reportedly bit a snake to death while playing at home. The incident has left the toddler’s family and local medical professionals in shock, especially given the child's survival after the encounter with the reptile.

According to reports, the toddler was playing on the terrace of his house when he spotted the snake, mistaking it for a toy. Without realizing the danger, he picked up the snake and bit it, leading to the reptile’s death. Fortunately, the child remains unharmed and is reported to be out of danger.

The boy's family quickly discovered the dead snake near him and, fearing the worst, rushed him to a nearby community health center. Medical staff who examined the child found him in good health. They confirmed that the snake was non-venomous, a species commonly seen during the monsoon season in the region.

A video of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing the toddler being held by a woman, while another man gently attempts to open his mouth. The video also includes a photo of the snake, showing signs of damage from the child’s bite.

Interestingly, this is not the first time such an event has occurred in Bihar. In July, a man from Rajauli was bitten by a snake while asleep. In a desperate attempt to save his life, the man bit the snake back, in line with a local belief that doing so neutralizes the poison. The snake died as a result, and the man was rushed to the hospital where he received treatment and survived.

Both incidents have sparked widespread discussion about the unusual ways people in the region have dealt with snake encounters, with many amazed at the outcomes.
