New revelations have emerged in the ongoing U.S. presidential election campaign involving former President Donald Trump. A CNN investigation has uncovered the extensive use of fake social media accounts supporting Trump’s campaign. The probe revealed that these accounts are using images of European fashion and beauty influencers to bolster Trump's support.

Fake Accounts Exposed

The investigation identified a notable fake account, @Luna_2K24, which presented itself as a 32-year-old “MAGA Trump supporter.” The account used photos of Debbie Naderloff, a fashion model from Germany, who had no connection to the account or the Trump campaign. This revelation has led to significant criticism of Trump’s campaign tactics.

Debbie Naderloff's Reaction

Upon learning about the misuse of her photos, Debbie Naderloff expressed her frustration. Naderloff, a well-known optician and mother, stated that her identity had been stolen. “My initial reaction was, ‘What nonsense is this?’ I have no connection to American politics or Trump. I can't understand why someone from a small German village would be involved in U.S. politics,” she said.

Network of Fake Accounts

CNN's investigation, conducted in collaboration with the Central for Information Resilience (CIR), uncovered a network of 56 fake accounts aimed at supporting Trump and his ally, Senator J.D. Vance. While these accounts were used to generate support for Trump and Vance, no direct link to Trump’s official campaign has been established.

Experts' Insights

Experts suggest that this incident might be indicative of a larger, systematic campaign. The fake accounts predominantly use images of young and attractive women, with many of these images either stolen or created using AI. These accounts are also employing hashtags such as #MAGAPatriots, #MAGA2024, and #IFBAP (I Follow Back All Patriots).

The exposure of these fake accounts raises serious questions about the integrity of Trump's election campaign and has prompted further scrutiny into the methods used to influence public opinion.
