IPS officer Kishan Sahay, currently posted at the Jaipur Police Headquarters, has sparked controversy with a social media post about God and Allah. In his Facebook post, Sahay questioned the existence of God, stating that if God/Allah/Waheguru existed, India would not have been subjected to foreign rule by Arabs, Turks, Mughals, and the British. This post has led to widespread debate and criticism, with many calling it controversial.

Kishan Sahay, a promoted IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has held several key positions, including SP of Tonk and Ajmer, DIG of the Arm Battalion in 2020, and IG of the Human Rights Department in 2023. Known for his outspoken views, Sahay previously stated in a January 2023 conference that he doesn’t believe in religion or God and that science is the only path to human progress. He also shared that he has read the Gita, Quran, and Bible, concluding that only science leads to advancement.

Sahay's recent post dismissing religious beliefs and describing them as figments of imagination has reignited debates, drawing sharp criticism for its provocative content, especially in a country sensitive to religious matters.
