Who is Porn Star Arohi aka Riya Barde? How a Friend's Tip-Off Landed This Bangladeshi Actress in Jail

Arohi, also known as Banna Sheikh, is a well-known name in adult films. However, the actress, whose real name is Riya Barde, has recently made headlines for reasons beyond her film career. The Ulhasnagar police in Maharashtra have arrested Riya, who is originally from Bangladesh, on charges of living illegally in India with fake documents. Riya and her family had allegedly been deceiving the Indian government for years, but as the saying goes, lies eventually come to light.

It was a close friend of Riya’s who exposed her. As a result, not only Riya but her entire family is now facing legal action. Her family includes her mother, brother, and sister, all of whom have been living in India using fake documents and posing as Hindus. According to reports, Riya's mother even married a man from Amravati to help create forged documents. Police have charged Riya’s mother, Anjali Barde aka Ruby Sheikh, father Arvind Barde, brother Ravindra aka Riaz Sheikh, and sister Ritu aka Moni Sheikh.

In a press release, police revealed that Riya was associated with several production houses and had acted in numerous pornographic or C-grade films. She was known in the adult film industry by her aliases Aarohi and Banna Sheikh. Sub-Inspector Sangram Malkar stated that the investigation uncovered that Riya's mother, Anjali, is originally from Bangladesh and had been residing illegally in India with her children for years.

Riya’s Mother is Currently in Qatar

Riya’s mother had been posing as a native of West Bengal. She married Amravati resident Arvind Barde and later managed to secure fake birth certificates and other documents to obtain Indian passports for herself and her children, allowing them to claim Indian citizenship. It was discovered that both Riya’s parents are currently residing in Qatar.

Riya's Previous Arrest

This isn’t Riya’s first run-in with the law. She was previously arrested by the Mumbai police under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act in connection with a prostitution case. The entire situation came to light when Riya’s friend, Prashant Mishra, learned that she was originally from Bangladesh and was living illegally in India. He reported her to the police, who investigated and uncovered the truth, leading to her arrest.

The police are now taking legal action against the entire family for forging documents and illegally residing in India.
