UK Police Search for Husband After Woman Found Dead

Northamptonshire Police Chief Inspector Paul Cash admitted that over 60 detectives are actively working on the case. Our inquiries lead us to believe that Harshita was murdered in Northamptonshire earlier this month by her husband, Pankaj Lamba, said Cash in a statement. He added that Lamba is suspected of transporting her body by car from Northamptonshire to east London.

It would start when the police received a tip on Wednesday claiming that Harshita was not safe. They went to her home in Corby, Northamptonshire, but nobody answered at all. They started investigating it as a missing person case, which led them to find the body in a car on Brisbane Road, Ilford, very early Thursday morning.

A post-mortem examination on Friday at Leicester Royal Infirmary confirmed suspicions of foul play. The detectives are pursuing these multiple leads through house-to-house inquiries and from the footage captured by CCTV cameras across the stretch of the motorway and ANPR data. According to Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell from East Midlands Special Operations Major Crime Unit, "They want justice for their loved ones, and that drives us to find out the truth." Police also published the image of Lamba and appealed for members of the public to provide any kind of information that might help locate him or piece together the circumstances of events that led to the murder of Harshita. An investigation goes on, with police increasing their pursuit of Lamba and a closer to the tragic death of Harshita Brella.
