In a swift and decisive response to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's recent threats, Israel launched airstrikes on several locations in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah strongholds. The airstrikes followed Nasrallah’s statement accusing Israel of committing massacres in Lebanon and promising retaliation. According to reports, the strikes hit key Hezbollah positions, delivering a strong message to the militant group.

Continuous Attacks in Lebanon for Two Days

The escalation began two days ago with sporadic attacks, including the use of pager bombs, followed by explosions in walkie-talkies and radios. This led to Nasrallah releasing a video statement in which he condemned Israel’s actions in Lebanon, labeling them a "crossing of red lines." He warned that Hezbollah would retaliate against Israel for these actions. Shortly after his message, rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory, but most of them were intercepted by Israel’s defense systems.

Hezbollah’s Rocket Attacks on Israel

During Nasrallah's video address, several rockets were launched from Hezbollah forces targeting Israel. However, the majority of these rocket attacks were neutralized by Israel’s defense systems. Following the attacks, Israel’s Air Force quickly retaliated, taking control of the skies over southern Lebanon and launching a series of airstrikes.

Israel Destroys Hezbollah Missile Launch Pads

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), intelligence-led strikes destroyed several Hezbollah positions, including 30 missile launch pads. Additionally, the airstrikes targeted ammunition depots and military buildings associated with the group in southern Lebanon, dealing a significant blow to Hezbollah's capabilities.

Hezbollah Claims Attacks on Northern Israel

Amid the airstrikes, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for multiple rocket and drone attacks on northern Israel. The group reported launching Katyusha rockets at over 15 locations. It is reported that two Israeli soldiers, Major Nael Fawarsi and Sergeant Tomer Keren, were killed in the attacks, while several others were injured.

Israel Confirms Launch of Air Campaign Against Hezbollah

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed that Israel has launched a full-scale air campaign against Hezbollah, with continuous airstrikes being carried out in southern Lebanon. Hagari stated that the strikes are aimed at crippling Hezbollah's military infrastructure.

Israeli Officials Prepare for Major Assault

As airstrikes continue, Israeli officials in Tel Aviv have convened a high-level meeting to discuss further military actions. One senior Israeli official hinted at the possibility of an unprecedented assault on Hezbollah, stating, "We are preparing for a strike like never before."
