CM Naidu congratulated President-elect Donald Trump as well, with hope for continued cooperation between the U.S. and India, pointing out growth in Indo-U.S. relations during Trump's first term. He voiced confidence that under Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, bilateral ties would be further strengthened.

He tweeted, "Congratulations to Mr. @realDonaldTrump on his win and wishing him great success as he looks forward to leading his country into the future. His first term witnessed a strong solidification of the Indo-U.S. partnership. With Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji and President Trump at the helm, I am confident our two nations will nurture further cooperation.
Trump is almost certainly going to be the President again as he secured more than 270 Electoral College votes, four years after leaving the White House. His win assures another phase of polarized politics at home and globally, during his tenure. For this reason, it is going to be a new chapter in American leadership during which democracy's tenability will be tested, and the relations with others on the international scale will change.

A Jaw-Dropping Moment for Telugu Community

Usha Vance's success to the position of Second Lady is significant for the Telugu diaspora, and more broadly, Indian-Americans. Her roots in Andhra Pradesh create a unique sensibility that would span the diaspora and the highest levels of American leadership, thereby redoubling cultural ties between India and America. In this historic victory, it will confirm the influence and contributions of the Telugu diaspora around the world and bring pride and recognition to the community.
