The incident occurred around 12:30 PM local time on Fahon Yothin Road, near the Rangsit shopping mall, during an educational trip organized by Wat Khao Pra Yarang School.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that authorities have yet to confirm the death toll, as the investigation is still ongoing.
