2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Launched at Rs 5.29 Lakh with New Emission Update

Kawasaki India has introduced the 2025 Ninja 500, with a price tag of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch is a part of the company's effort to comply with the BS6 P2 OBD2B emission norms that took effect on April 1, 2025. The bike now gets a fresh new colour scheme, besides the revised emission compliance, making it both smart and nature-friendly.

What's New on the 2025 Ninja 500?

The most prominent visual redesign of the MY25 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is the addition of a new Metallic Carbon Grey hue. This color takes the place of the Metallic Spark Black on the MY24 variant. The new model is accompanied by striking green accents to the fairing, which is more aggressive yet refined.

Relative to the MY24 variant, the 2025 Ninja 500 has a marginal Rs 5,000 price increase, priced at Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom) now.

Powertrain and Emissions Compliance

The Ninja 500 mechanically carries forward unchanged but is now compliant with BS6 P2 OBD2B emissions norms. The motorcycle uses a 451cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled powerplant, churning out:

  • 44.77 bhp of power
  • 42.6 Nm of torque
  • 6-speed gearbox

This configuration guarantees seamless operation while satisfying current emission standards.

Hardware and Features

The 2025 Ninja 500 carries over its hardware features from the last model:

  • Telescopic RSU front forks
  • Monoshock rear suspension
  • Single disc brakes at both ends
  • Dual-channel ABS (standard)

Feature-wise, it includes:

  • Split LED headlights
  • Fully digital LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth and smartphone integration
  • 785 mm seat height
  • 171 kg kerb weight
  • 14L fuel tank

Rival and Segment

In India, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 finds direct competition against the Aprilia RS 457. Although they both appeal to performance enthusiasts, the Ninja's proven twin-cylinder engine package and established nameplate provide the bike with an edge.
