BYD Sealion 7 Launches in India: BYD has introduced its latest EV, the BYD Sealion 7, in India. Priced at Rs 48.90 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), this is BYD’s fourth offering in the country after the BYD eMAX 7, BYD Atto 3, and BYD Seal. The vehicle will be available in two variants—Premium and Performance—and deliveries will start from March 7, 2025.
Battery, Design, and Exterior Features
The BYD Sealion 7 features a powerful 82.5 kWh battery pack, offered with both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The exterior is highlighted by all-LED lighting, a blanked-off EV grille, and heated outside mirrors with auto-tilt functionality. The Premium variant sports 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Performance variant comes with larger 20-inch alloys. The vehicle’s sleek SUV-coupe design includes flush door handles and connected LED tail lights.
Luxurious Interior and High-Tech Features
Inside, the Sealion 7 offers a sophisticated cabin with black leatherette seat upholstery, a 4-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a glossy black dashboard. The centerpiece is a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen, complemented by a 10.25-inch driver’s display and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system. The panoramic glass roof adds to the premium feel, while practical touches include ventilated front seats, dual-zone AC, a wireless phone charger, and electrically adjustable seats with memory functions.
Top-Notch Safety and ADAS Technology
Safety is a priority in the BYD Sealion 7, which comes with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and level 2 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control and cross-traffic alert. It also offers ISOFIX child seat mounts, front and rear parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
