Best Selling Scooter in India: Scooter sales are surging rapidly in India, with a mix of new and old models dominating the market. The demand for 100cc to 125cc scooters is particularly strong. With the arrival of new and facelift models, customers now have a wide variety of options to choose from. Despite the abundance of choices, one scooter continues to reign supreme in terms of monthly sales, consistently breaking records. We are talking about the Honda Activa.

Honda Activa: Record-Breaking Sales

Last month, the Honda Activa sold an impressive 2,27,458 units, surpassing the 2,14,458 units sold during the same period last year. This marks an increase of 12,586 units. The TVS Jupiter secured the second position with 89,327 units sold, followed by Suzuki Access with 62,433 units sold. The consistent rise in sales of the Activa highlights its popularity in the market. The starting price of this scooter is around ₹76,000.

Reliable Engine

The Honda Activa is powered by a 110cc 4-stroke engine that produces 5.77 kW of power and 8.90Nm of torque. This engine offers a perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency, delivering a mileage of around 50 km per liter. The scooter also features 12-inch tires and a 5.3-liter fuel tank, making it an ideal choice for daily commutes and short trips within the city. It performs well on both city roads and highways, though it's best suited for short-distance urban travel.

The Honda Activa's closest competitor is the TVS Jupiter, which has been revamped with a new design and engine improvements. The new Jupiter 110 now comes with a 113.3cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine equipped with fuel injection technology, delivering 5.9 kW of power and 9.8 Nm of torque. It also features a CVT gearbox for smoother performance. The ex-showroom price of the new Jupiter 110 starts at ₹73,700.

The TVS Jupiter boasts a range of features, including Infinity LED lamps, LED headlamps, LED taillights, a digital instrument cluster, mobile charging, Find My Vehicle, distance-to-empty display, average fuel economy, voice assist, and hazard lights.

With its powerful engine, modern features, and competitive pricing, the TVS Jupiter is a strong rival, but the Honda Activa remains the top choice for most buyers in the Indian scooter market.
