iOS 18.1 Set to Launch with Apple Intelligence: New Siri, Writing Tools, and More Features Coming Soon!
Following the launch of the iPhone 16 series, all eyes are now on the release of Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.1. This update is expected to introduce some initial Apple Intelligence tools, with more enhancements planned in future updates. Currently, Apple is testing iOS 18.1 in its beta phase, but the new features are set to roll out for all users soon. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple could release iOS 18.1 on October 28.
Why the Delay?
Initially, it was anticipated that the Apple Intelligence features would launch alongside the iPhone 16 series. However, their release has taken longer than expected. According to Gurman, Apple wants to provide a bug-free experience, which is why it is conducting extensive testing. Additionally, the company is expanding its cloud infrastructure to handle millions of users who will update at the same time.
Features of Apple Intelligence
The first rollout of Apple Intelligence features is expected in October. This means that only a few select features will be available at launch, with the rest rolling out through 2025. Here are some of the features expected to arrive in October:
- Writing Tools
- Photos App Enhancements
- Clean-up Tool
- New Siri UI
- Priority Notifications
