KTM 200 Duke & 125 Duke 2024 Edition: KTM, the renowned performance motorcycle manufacturer, is gearing up for the launch of its updated 2024 models of the KTM 200 Duke and 125 Duke in India. These much-anticipated bikes are set to hit the market soon, and enthusiasts can expect a slight price hike due to the inclusion of several new features.
2024 KTM 200 Duke: What’s New?
According to recent leaks, the 2024 KTM 200 Duke and 125 Duke will soon be available at dealerships, signaling an imminent launch. The Duke lineup in India currently includes the 125 Duke, 200 Duke, 250 Duke, and 390 Duke. With the upcoming updates, the 200 Duke and 125 Duke are set to offer enhanced features, further strengthening KTM's position in the highly competitive street bike segment.
The 2024 update applies specifically to the 200 Duke and 125 Duke models, both of which are part of the Bajaj-KTM partnership. Bajaj manufactures KTM's single-cylinder lineup at its Chakan plant, catering to both domestic and international markets.
Leaked images suggest that the 2024 models will not feature any significant design changes. The body panels and styling elements remain consistent with the edgy design language KTM is known for, preserving the classic Duke DNA. These updates are focused on maintaining the original Duke ethos rather than adopting the newer design seen in the latest 390 Duke.
One of the major updates for the 2024 KTM 200 Duke is the introduction of a larger instrument display. This new screen will feature Bluetooth connectivity and additional functionality, replacing the outdated LCD unit that has been used in KTM bikes for over a decade. Along with the advanced display, the 200 Duke will receive updated switchgear with dedicated buttons for easier navigation through the menu options. Beyond these changes, the mechanical components of the 200 Duke remain the same.
Updates to the 2024 KTM 125 Duke
In addition to the 200 Duke, KTM is also upgrading its entry-level 125 Duke model. Unlike the 200 Duke, the 125 Duke gets two major updates. First, it receives the same new instrument cluster and switchgear as the 200 Duke, offering riders better control and functionality. Second, the 2024 KTM 125 Duke will now feature an all-LED headlight setup, replacing the previous halogen unit. This new LED assembly enhances the bike's aesthetics, aligning it with the premium look of the Duke family.
The 2024 KTM 125 Duke will continue to be powered by a 124.7cc liquid-cooled engine, producing 14.3 bhp and 12 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine has been a popular choice among riders for its reliable performance and fuel efficiency.
KTM is also reintroducing the Silver color option for the 2024 200 Duke, while the available colors for the 125 Duke are yet to be revealed.
Expected Price Hike
With the new updates, KTM is likely to introduce a price increase for both models. Although the exact amount is not yet confirmed, it is estimated that the 2024 KTM 200 Duke may see a price hike of approximately ₹4,000 to ₹5,000, while the 125 Duke might have a slightly higher increase due to its additional updates.
