With EV adoption slower than anticipated, Mercedes plans to keep gasoline-powered models like the GLS in its lineup longer, balancing innovation with market demand.

India Launch of the Updated GLS

The Maybach and AMG variants of the GLS are currently imported into India as completely built units (CBUs). Once the final design updates are completed, the facelifted GLS is expected to arrive in the Indian market. Mercedes is likely to retain its luxurious appeal while offering competitive options for the Indian buyer.
