Specifications and Features

The Nothing Ear (open) earbuds come with custom, patent-pending diaphragms featuring titanium coating. The company claims these earbuds use ultra-light drivers. The design includes ear hooks that can be secured behind the ears, similar to sports earphones, making them ideal for sports activities.

The Ear (open) also includes an automatic bass enhancement algorithm and a 120ms low-latency gaming mode, which automatically activates on Nothing devices based on the situation. For other devices, these features can be manually enabled through the app. For noise-free calls, the earbuds come with Clear Voice Technology, featuring three microphones with advanced wind noise resistance. They are compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 13 or later.

The earbuds also have pinch controls, allowing users to manage playback, skip tracks, answer calls, and switch between ANC and transparency modes. They can also be used to launch virtual assistants or adjust volume. With an advanced equalizer and profile-sharing features, users can further customize their sound preferences.

Each earbud weighs only 8.1 grams, while the charging case weighs 63.8 grams. The fast-charging feature claims to offer 2 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charging. Both the earbuds and the charging case are IP54 rated, making them suitable for workouts and light rain.
