How to Play NYT Connections?

The puzzle gives a grid that is filled with words. Your aim is to uncover the hidden connections between them. To crack the puzzle, think about word families, antonyms, synonyms etc. Test your vocabulary and problem-solving skills to make the right connections between the words. Having trouble? Don't worry, the puzzle offers helpful hints as well. Track your daily streak and overall progress, and challenge your friends or other players.

The NYT releases a new puzzle every day at midnight, and it can be played on the NYT website or app. In a grid of 16 words, you need to arrange them in four groups while determining the connections between them.

Be wary of words that might fit into more than one category, as there is only one solution to each puzzle. Mix up words to potentially see the connections between them. The groups are colour-coded and the Yellow one is often the easiest to crack, while the purple group is usually the hardest and blue and green are in the middle.

Select four words that you think have connections between them and then click the 'Submit' button. You will lose a life if you make a wrong guess. You will lose if you make four mistakes.
