Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with Tubeless Spoke Wheels Launches in India: Price, Features, and Why It’s a Game-Changer!
Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450 last year, and it has received a positive response from customers. While the tubeless spoke wheels were showcased during its debut, they were not initially available as an option due to the company awaiting homologation approval.
After nearly a year of waiting, Royal Enfield has finally announced the prices for the tubeless spoke wheels. The Himalayan 450 is priced between ₹2.85 lakh and ₹2.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The cost of a set of tubeless spoke wheels is ₹11,000, and customers can select them as an accessory. Existing owners can upgrade to these wheels for ₹12,424.
The Himalayan 450 with tubeless spoke wheels will be available in a variety of colors, including Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Himalayan Poppy Blue, Kamet White, and Hanley Black. These wheels will be available at Royal Enfield’s authorized showrooms from October 3, 2024.
Benefits of Tubeless Spoke Wheels:
Tubeless tires have several advantages, the most notable being a reduced risk of sudden blowouts, as they don’t have an inner tube. In the event of a puncture, the air escapes gradually, giving the rider enough time to control the motorcycle safely.
Additionally, tubeless tires are lighter than tube-type tires, contributing to the overall reduction in vehicle weight. This improves fuel efficiency due to reduced rolling resistance. They are also easier to repair, as liquid sealant or a puncture repair kit can be used without needing to remove the tire from the rim. This makes the repair process faster and more convenient compared to tube-type tires.
