Triumph Tiger 400 ADV Render: A Stylish Rival to Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure!

Triumph Tiger 400 ADV Render: If launched, the Triumph Tiger 400 ADV could take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure in the competitive adventure motorcycle segment. The partnership between Bajaj and Triumph has been focused on the premium 300cc to 500cc single-cylinder motorcycle market, and the adventure touring (ADV) segment has grown significantly, thanks to the Himalayan 450. But what if the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration created an ADV model based on the Speed 400 platform? A new render gives us a glimpse of what this potential bike could look like.
Triumph Tiger 400 ADV Rendered
Currently, Triumph offers the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X, but there is no adventure-styled motorcycle based on these platforms. This is where the Triumph Tiger 400 ADV render, designed by Pratyush Rout, comes in. With the growing popularity of ADV motorcycles in India, launching a model like the Tiger 400 ADV could be a smart move for Triumph in the Indian market.
The render shows a sleek and stylish ADV bike, a departure from the typically rugged ADVs in this segment. The design of the render draws inspiration from Triumph’s Tiger Sport 660, which is based on the Trident 660 naked motorcycle. Key rivals for this bike would be the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure.
Design Features
The render combines the design DNA of the Tiger Sport 660 with the 400cc platform of Triumph’s existing models. Like the Tiger Sport 660, this render features a unique headlight, fuel tank design, and a distinctive rear subframe that differentiates it from the Speed 400.
Notably, the semi-fairing design enhances the bike's touring capabilities, while the headlights and LED DRL signature take inspiration from Triumph’s larger Tiger motorcycles. Unlike the Tiger Sport 660, this render includes a front beak, a hallmark of ADV design, making it more suited for off-road adventures.
Other standout elements in the render include a tall windscreen, aggressive tank shrouds, a sporty raised rear subframe for comfortable pillion seating, and knuckle guards. There are also stylish decals on the side body panels and fuel tank, which should appeal to younger buyers.
Will It Launch?
There is no official confirmation that Triumph will release an ADV-style motorcycle in the near future. However, Bajaj recently launched the Speed T4, a more affordable variant of the Speed 400 with fewer features and lower power output. Additionally, Bajaj and Triumph are testing new models based on the 400cc platform, such as the Thruxton 400, which has been spotted in testing.
Given this context, there is a possibility that Triumph could introduce other models like the Speedmaster 400 Cruiser, Tiger 400 ADV, or even a Daytona 400 fully-faired sportbike in the future.
