The automatic version of the Tata Altroz has finally arrived in India. Since its launch in 2019, Tata Motors has managed to sell more than 1.25 lakh units of the Altroz hatchback, which was so far available only with a five-speed manual transmission.

And now, the Dual-Clutch Automatic (DCA) variant of the Tata Altroz has been launched. The new hatchback will lock horns with Toyota Glanza, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and the Hyundai i20.

Engine comparison

The 2022 Tata Altroz DCA is available in six trims and powering them is the 1.2-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine, which churns out 86 hp of maximum power and 111 Nm of peak torque. The dual-clutch transmission comes with seven speeds.

Talking about the competitors of Tata Altroz DCA, both Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza are powered by 1.2-litre petrol engines, capable of producing 87 hp of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque.

Toyota Glanza vs Maruti Baleno

The iVT variants from Hyundai, on the other hand, come with the 1.2-litre petrol engines, while the DCT variants get the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit.

Honda Jazz CVT comes with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces 87 hp of power and 110 Nm of peak torque.
