In India, demand for SUVs is at an all-time high. Yet, the luxury hatchbacks and tiny automobiles continue to dominate the market in this nation. Four significant model debuts will take place in the small vehicle market during the next few years. These are the top 4 forthcoming compact automobiles’ salient features.

MARUTI SWIFT NEW-GEN

Suzuki Swift’s updated rendering, sometime in 2024, the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift will be available on our roadways. It’s one of India’s next new tiny automobiles that is highly awaited. According to rumours, the all-new Swift will use a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine that has benefitted from Toyota’s powerful hybrid technology to provide its power. The new model of the hatchback will have an ARAI-certified mileage of between 35 and 40 kmpl. It will become the nation’s most fuel-efficient vehicle as a result. The same powerplant configuration will be offered with the new Maruti Dzire.

MG Comet EV

The name “Comet” will be used for MG Motor India’s future 2-door electric vehicle. It is simply the Wuling Air EV that has been rebadged and sold in countries like Indonesia. The model is anticipated to hit the market by the middle of 2023 and is projected to cost about Rs 10 lakh. The MG Comet’s powertrain configuration may comprise a battery pack with a capacity of 20 to 25 kWh and a single electric motor mounted at the front axle. The little electric vehicle will have a 300km range.

CNG TATA ALTROZ

Debut of Tata Altroz CNG, which was displayed at the current Auto Fair, will start selling soon. The hatchback will have a 1.2L Revotron gasoline engine that has Dyna-pro technology added to it. It produces a maximum power of 77 bhp and a maximum torque of 97 Nm while operating on CNG. Two CNG tanks totaling 60 litres are installed in the Altroz CNG. The automobile manufacturer asserts that the CNG tanks are constructed of cutting-edge material that guards against leaks and heat accidents. Above 25 km/kg of fuel efficiency will be produced.

NEW-GEN TATA TIAGO

In 2024 or 2025, Tata Motors will introduce a new version of its enormously well-liked Tiago hatchback. Its foundation will get one of the most significant modifications. The Altroz hatchback and Punch mini SUV both share the modular Alfa chassis, which will be utilised for the brand-new Tiago. Several body types and engine options are supported by the Alfa architecture. Its appearance and interior arrangement will also undergo significant alterations. The new Tata Tiago may possibly come equipped with some cutting-edge features.
