Audi India is prepared to test-drive the Q3 Sportback after its facelift. On February 13, the sportier version of the well-known Q3 model from the German automaker will be unveiled in India. In its most recent incarnation, the Audi Q3 Sportback will have a coupe roofline and be positioned above the model’s standard edition. For a nominal fee of 2 lakh, Audi has already begun to accept reservations for the upcoming Q3 Sportback through its official website or at dealerships.
The Q3 Sportback SUV is not all that dissimilar from the Q3 base model. Both vehicles have the same underpinnings, but the Q3 Sportback has some distinctive styling features over the Q3, including a sloping roofline, a honeycomb-mesh grille, blacked-out chrome accents, LED headlamps, and sporty alloy wheels.
Similar to the new generation Q3 SUVs, the Q3 Sportback’s interior will feature an 8.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an Audi user interface. A 10-speaker audio system, wireless charging, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, MMI navigation, Audi Smartphone interface, Audi Virtual Cockpit, and more features will be available.
The same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged TFSI engine that powers the Q3 SUVs will be available for the Q3 Sportback SUV. The engine can produce a maximum of 320 Nm of peak torque and 188 bhp of power. A 7-speed DSG transmission will be included with the engine. In order to give the Q3 Sportback a sportier appeal, Audi India may also import the more potent 45 TFSI variant. This model produces a peak torque of 370 Nm and 241 bhp.
The new Audi Q3 Sportback will compete with entry-level luxury SUVs like the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1. With a starting price of 44.89 lakh, the Q3 SUV, which was introduced in India last year, will be placed below it (ex-showroom). Expect to pay more than INR 50 Lakh for the Q3 Sportback.
