BGauss Launches New Electric Scooters With Single Full Charge Range Of 115Km’s

BGauss India  has launched their new D15 Electric scooter, available in two variants –D15i and the D15 Pro. The D15i gets a single lithium ion battery , while the Latter gets an additional Valve regulated Lead acid (VRLA) battery.

Specifications

The D15is powered by a hub motor with 3.1 KW PMSM which develops about 110 NM of torque , the scooter comes with three modes –ECO, Sport and reverse . BGauss claims that scooter would do a 0 to 40 kph in 7 seconds. In sport mode the scooter can hit a top speed of about 60kph, The top speed falls to 50 kph in Eco mode.

Battery Pack

The BGauss D15i variant has a IP67 rated, removable, 3.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack that takes 5 hours and 30mins to attain 100 percent charge, whereas charging up to 80 percent takes 4 hours. An optional fast charger brings the time taken to fully charge the battery down to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The scooter has an ARAI-certified range of 115km in a single charge. While the BGauss D15 Pro variant has the same lithium-ion battery as the D15i, with the same charging times, it also gets a secondary VRLA battery.

The BGauss D 15 comes with an Retro design with an round headlight , a compact front apron as well as a style deficient almost flat sides. The scooter has a full metal frame  for better sturdiness and durability according to BGauss. Underneath the body work lies a steel frame chassis , the suspension duties are performed by an hydraulic  fork at the front and a three step adjustable Twin shocks absorbers at the rear. The scooter rides on 16 inch wheels and braking duties are taken care of by drum brakes at both ends.

In terms of features, the scooter gets all-LED lights, Smartphone connectivity that through a dedicated app offers facilities such as remote immobilization, firmware updates, geo fencing, incoming call alert, navigation, etc. the scooter is available at the price of 1 Lakh Rs while the latter variant would cost you about 1.15 lakh Rs, the company offers 3 year plus 36000 m guarantee.
