BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition: Specs, price, interior for this ultimate luxury

BMW launched its classy M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition in India catering to the popular demand. The new edition comes at a price of Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom).

This makes it the most expensive special edition yet by BMW. After M340i, 630i M Sport, 530i M Sport, M4 Competition, X7 40i M Sport and X4 M Sport, the seat for luxury comes with a more exhilarating look.

The launch comes as a part of the ongoing 50th-anniversary celebrations to mark its M division. Notably, BMW will be introducing three more 50 Jahre M Editions in India.

BMW M8 Competition M Edition: Powertrain

BMW Powerful 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8 engine

When it comes to special mechanical changes, you will spot none. But the BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition is powered by 625hp, 750Nm, 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine.

Moreover, the luxury variant is paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

For speed enthusiasts, it can also accelerate from 0-100kph in just 3.2 seconds.

BMW’s M8 Competition M Edition comes equipped with an M xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The driver gets three driving modes which are Comfort, Sport and Sport+.

BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition

Exterior of the all-new BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition:

It will be available in four new individual paint shades- Frozen Deep Green and Frozen Deep Grey, Daytona Beach Blue, Frozen Brilliant White, Frozen Marina Bay Blue.

Furthermore, BMW’s this special edition model comes with the gloss black kidney grille, 20-inch black alloy wheels with red brake calipers and an M sport exhaust system.

If you are planning to buy this new luxury edition, you must know that BMW is offering an M carbon exterior package as standard.

It will have a carbon-fibre finished front bumper, exterior mirror caps, rear spoiler, side air intake, and the rear diffuser.

Considering climate change, these parts will help reducing the M8’s weight and aerodynamic drag.

Interior of BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition:

This special edition car gets updates in the form of leather merino upholstery. You will have M seat belts and an alcantara anthracite-finished headliner. It will also have equipments like a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and infotainment system, Harman Kardon sound system, ambient lighting and wireless Apple Carplay.
