Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has launched the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4 S in India. However, the company will sell these bikes in limited numbers in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh, while the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S costs Rs 22.99 lakh in India (both prices ex-showroom). The Dark Stealth colour scheme of V4 S costs Rs 20,000 more.
Bookings for the Streetfighter across the Ducati dealerships in the country began in April 2021, while the deliveries will commence when showrooms will begin their operations. Available in limited numbers for now, the company will ship more units as per its demand in the Indian market.
Ducati Streetfighter V4
The Streetfighter V4 comes equipped with the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine as the Panigale V4. The powermill churns out 205bhp at 13,000 rpm and delivers a torque of 123 Nm at 9,500 rpm.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission equipped with a two-way quick-shifter. The Streetfighter V4 weighs 201 kg and the bike also has an aerodynamic package to bring its stability closer to that of a supersport bike.
Ducati Corse (the company’s racing division) has built the bi-plane wings on both sides of the bike to provide up to 28kg of downforce at 270kmph.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 receives the same six-axis IMU-based electronic aids available on the Panigale V4.
The V4 has a Showa Big Piston fork at the front and a Sachs Monoshock at the rear; both are fully adjustable. A Sachs steering damper is also available.
Ducati Streetfighter V4 S
The V4 S comes with Ohlins electronic suspensions, an Ohlins steering damper, and lighter forged aluminium Marchesini wheels. This brings the kerb weight down to 199kg.
Both the motorcycles are equipped with Stylema Monobloc callipers with twin 330mm discs setup at the front and a 245mm disc and a two-piston calliper at the rear.
