Force motors is one of the most major manufacturers of commercial vehicles in India , while the brand has enjoyed a unparalleled success in the commercial vehicle industry, its lead into the private vehicle manufacturing hasn’t received a similar response.

With a full fledged Gurkha that rivals the Mahindra Thar the manufacturer has brought a certain amount of attention towards its passenger vehicles. But the brand might be planning a trick or two under it sleeves to undercut the arrival of the 5 door Thar as a test mule of its 5 door Gurkha was spotted testing earlier yesterday.

While Force received profound recognition through their facelift of the Gurkha , the car has not sold as much due to practicality issues of being a two two door one hatch SUV. The brand would solve the problem by bringing in a 5 door Gurkha to the market and increase the sales for its highest selling Passenger Vehicle.

Extended version of the 2 door Gurkha

The 5 door Gurkha would be based on an extended version of Gurkha 3-Door’s platform.the car seems to be designed after 5 year olds drawing of  car as its pre-dominantly a square on wheels. It gets a similar side-hinged tailgate as Gurkha 3-Door and Trax Cruiser. The tailgate also holds the spare wheel. The front  fascia would get similar features as well as looks like the 2 door Gurkha with similar DRL’S.

Engine specification

5-Door Gurkha will get the same FM 2.6L CR turbocharged diesel engine as the 3-Door version. It develops 91 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The car has all the of roading credentials needed. The car would rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny as well as the Thar 5 door if it ever arrives. The car has been seen in a 6 seater variant but its possible it might be made available in 7 seater variant. Due for launch later this year the car would have and advantage over its rivals and would probably cost 2 lakhs more than the normal 2 door Gurkha.
