Hero MotoCorp may soon launch an electric passenger car as the company is aiming to achieve a 10 crore sales mark.
The largest bike manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, which recently broke all records by selling 100 million units, will launch this electric car as a part of its mission beyond its traditional bike business. It will introduce features like a zero-emission car with its next lineup.
According to the reports, the two-wheeler manufacturers are chalking out strategies to prepare themselves for the growing electric car business.

Bajaj Auto launched the Chetak more than a year ago, while the TVS Motors Company’s IQube hit the market in 2020. Suzuki is testing an electric scooter, which is based on the 125cc Burgman Street. The scooter is likely to hit the market later this year.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric car will represent the company’s vision of future mobility. Company’s Quark 1 three-wheeler is already in showrooms. Powered by an electric powertrain, the EV is built so that its owner can convert it into a two-wheeler. Its owners can use this EV for both personal and commercial purposes.
Here MotoCorp began working on its 100 millionth two-wheeler, Hero Xtreme 160R, at its Haridwar plant. Hero MotoCorp celebrated the occasion by introducing several special editions.
According to the source, the company will launch over 10 vehicles every year across the next half-decade.
