Activa H-Smart was introduced to the Indian market earlier this year by Honda Motorbike and Scooter India. The scooter has a brand-new H-Smart model and was also OBD2-ready. Honda said during the occasion that other scooters would also get the smart key features. The upgraded Activa 125 has now been introduced by the manufacturer in the Indian market, receiving various changes for 2023. The new Activa 125 should be familiarised with the following five things.
2023 Honda Activa 125
There haven’t been many aesthetic upgrades. To give the scooter a more luxury appearance, the LED positioning lighting have been updated, and there are chrome strips on the side panels.
Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Precious White, and Mid Night Blue Metallic are three of the five colour possibilities for the 2023 Activa. Moreover, there are two colours that won’t be available with the Drum variant: Pearl Night Start Black and Heavy Gray Metallic.
2023 Honda Activa 125: Engine
There are no changes to the engine other than the fact that it is now OBD2 compliant. It still comes with a fuel-injected, 125 cc engine. The engine generates 8.19 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 10.4 Nm of maximum torque at 5,000 rpm.
Honda scooters come equipped with an idle start/stop feature that turns off the engine when the scooter is at a stop and restarts it when it’s time to move. The aids in fuel conservation.
To further increase fuel efficiency, Honda is also adopting new, fuel-efficient tyres. Together with other features, the engine has eSP, which permits silent starting.
Honda Activa 125 2023: New H-Smart model
A new premium model under the name of H-Smart has been released by Honda. It receives the identical smart key that was previously offered on the Activa 110. Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock, and Smart Start are made possible by the smart key. The scooter may be located in a parking lot using the smart key. When the Answer Back button is depressed and the scooter is within 10 metres of range, the turn indicators will blink twice.
Moreover, an anti-theft system is available that automatically activates the immobiliser function when the key travels more than two metres. No conventional keyhole is present. Instead, a knob that may be used to start/stop the engine and turn on the ignition is present. The owner can turn the knob to open the seat, fuel cap, and handle if the key is within 2 metres of the vehicle.
Features of the 2023 Honda Activa 125
The Honda Activa 125 has a small digital screen, an external fuel filler cap, a side stand cut-off, an LED headlight with LED position lighting, and other features. The display can display data such as the current time, average fuel efficiency, fuel gauge, remaining gasoline, and current fuel efficiency. Behind the apron now is a tiny open glovebox as well.
