After countless bouts of speculation that Honda was about to bring in a hybrid , Honda has finally done so the City e-HEV and Honda is even taking bookings for a token amount of about 21000. The appearance of the car seems identical to that of the normal city. but The difference lays beyond the surface
The Hybrid would be available only in two variants the V and the ZX the ZX of course would offer way more features compared to the other models being the top tier variant.
Additional features
There are additional features as well at offer now. The new City Hybrid comes with Honda Sensing Technology which is a fancy Honda in-house term for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The system offers safety features like Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Road Departure Mitigation and Auto High Beam Assist and many more such features. The City Hybrid also gets four disc brakes which is a phenomenal aspect of the car. Other features like the lane-view camera are available with the model as well.

The New engine
The new Honda city hybrid gets a i mmd engine , it has 1.5 cc four cylinder engine that produce the peak power of 98 PS with 127NM of torque . the hybrid system comes with two motors one of them drives the front wheels of the car and produces about 126 ps power combined and fuel efficiency of about 26.5 kmpl.
Honda claims that the new City Hybrid produces a maximum power 74 % more advanced and torque compared to the standard petrol City. Also, it returns 40% more fuel efficiency compared to the standard petrol version.
There are three modes in the Honda City. It can run on pure electricity, on pure petrol and the hybrid model.
The new Honda City carries a battery pack that is positioned in the rear boot of the car. This reduces the boot space and hampers its characteristics and with there being no space to keep the spare tire. With the additional battery pack. Honda City Hybrid is now 110 kg heavier than the standard version.
