While Honda WRV might be A jazz beneath its glamorous exterior the car has been able to bring in formidable amount of sales for Honda. The car hails to be one of the cheapest to have a sunroof which apparently for Indians is very much important even after the majority of the climatic conditions remain to be extremely hot and humid. The car is a step ahead of the Honda Jazz in every aspect , be it comfort, space and performance, the car has slightly more ground clearance and its SUV inspired fascia as well as design helps it strike a chord with us Indians.
A face lift version of the car was spotted recently in a Honda’s storage facility, according to media reports by Rush lane the car was well dusty as well which means that it was sitting and resting in the position for quite sometime. With what was visible Rush lane has concurred that the car was pretty similar to the one we see right now the current face lifted generation.
Changes In The Facelift
The changes in the front fascia remain to be the on;y changes prominently visible It gets a split headlamp design with LED DRl’ s on top and headlight unit below it. The Headlight is also sleeker and chrome-lined to look premium to the chrome-obsessed Indian market. We can also expect the light source to be LED ‘s. Other notable changes is the front grille with chrome studs all over and front bumper with fog lamps lower down unlike the outgoing WRV.
Would It Be Launched ?
About the launch of the car we understand that the WRV is to be replaced by a sub 4 meter Compact SUV which would help Honda battle against rivals like the Hyundai Venue as well as the KIA Sonet. So considering that it is not possible that Honda would launch this iteration of the vehicle. According to Rush lane though its possible this was a prototype of the current gen that is already on sale.
Honda is in the pursuit of developing two SUV’s for India code named PF2 and PF2S. PF2 will be the smaller sub 4-metre SUV competing against segment leader Tata Nexon and others like Hyundai New Venue, Kia Sonet, upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Mahindra XUV300. Larger PF2S will be a compact SUV competing against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos.
