Since their introductions in the market last year, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder SUVs have sold an average of 9,000 units per month. According to dealer sources, strong-hybrid varieties of the Hyryder have a waiting period of between 6-7 months whereas mild-hybrid variants might have a maximum waiting period of up to 15 months.
Longer wait times are seen with the Toyota Hyryder mild hybrid
Four trims—E, S, G, and V—are available for the Toyota Hyryder. The G manual mild hybrid has a 15-month waiting period, according to our dealer sources, whilst the automatic has a 2 month waiting period.

On the other side, there is a 10-month delay for the manual and a 2-month wait for the automatic on the highest-spec V version. There is a waiting period of 3–4 months for the AWD version, which is only offered on the V grade with the mild-hybrid MT powertrain.
The base-spec Hyryder, however, has been produced in extremely low numbers by Toyota, if not at all. The mild hybrid lineup’s base E and S trims currently have waiting lists longer than 24 months, making it nearly hard to obtain one. According to insiders, Toyota dealers are actually attempting to steer buyers more toward the higher-spec variants.
Toyota Hyryder: waiting period information for a powerful hybrid
Strong-hybrid forms of the Hyryder are more widely accessible over the range. Customers will have to wait 6 to 7 months for the strong hybrid in the G trim. The wait time for the top-spec V trim is considerably shorter, at 3 to 4 months. This is because Toyota has prioritised sales of the strong-hybrid models from the beginning, as was the production plan.
Waiting time for Toyota Hyryder vs. Maruti Grand Vitara
According to our dealer sources, the Maruti Grand Vitara has a substantially shorter waiting period. The base Sigma and Delta mild-hybrid models have an 8-month wait, while the higher-spec Zeta and Alpha trims have a 5-month wait. Meanwhile, the Zeta+ and Alpha+ grades with the strong-hybrid powertrain have a three-month wait.
In terms of sales, the Grand Vitara outnumbers the Hyryder. Since its introduction, the Maruti Grand Vitara has sold an average of 6,200 units per month, while the Hyryder has only sold roughly 3,000 units each month.
